Hillary vs. Pirro

Interesting item in Eve Kessler's blog for the Forward on the race for NY Senator. Jeanine Pirro is apparently a friend of the Arab American Institute, so it doesn't surprise Kessler at all that the Institute put out a statement blasting Hillary and her recent trip to Israel in its latest newsletter:
By any measure, Senator Hillary Clinton’s (D-NY) recent trip to Israel was a breathtaking display of political posturing. She visited Israel’s wall, and explained that it is “not against the Palestinian people” but “against terrorists,” but while Senator Clinton met with a range of Israeli officials, she did not meet with any Palestinians. Haaretz also reported that Senator Clinton remarked that the “Palestinian people have to help prevent terrorism.” The article went on to say that Clinton “touted [Israeli Prime Minister Ariel] Sharon’s withdrawal from the Gaza Strip in September as ‘courageous’ and said the Israeli leader needs a ‘reliable partner’ on the Palestinian side to further the positive momentum created by the pullout.” The constant recycling of ten-year-old talking points, regardless of the facts on the ground, is damaging to genuine efforts for peace.
Another interesting fact, pointed out by The Politicker, is that Pirro is of Lebanese descent. Somehow it doesn't surprise the guys over at The Politicker that Pirro's campaign chooses not to publicize that . And as The Politicker notes, this whole line of attack is "political gold" for Hillary.

Hmmm... So Pirro's path to victory is clear. She is going to get a lock on all of the new york republicans who think that the palestinians aren't getting a fair shake. All 7 of them.

LOL. Put that way, Pirro's chances seem even bleaker - and I didn't think that possible.

Hillary is a bitch on wheels but she is kissing all the right ass now. So she's transparent and mercenary, if I want a real friend I'll get a dog.

Hillary Clinton vs. Janine Pirro

We have a disingenuous, corrupt, transplanted, likely antisemite vs. a disingenuous, likely corrupt, native, likely antisemite.

Whoever will wins will even make Schumer look good.

What evidence do you have that Hillary is an anti-semite? Where does that accusation come from ???!

Hillary should reprint the AAI's release as campaign literature. On every point, straight down the line, I was thinking, "Right on, Hillary!"

So "Pirro is of Lebanese descent"

Half of that country is Christian anyway, and the other half isn't all IslamoFacsist.

Proof? who else would make a quota system for government spots (and their legislature too).

Hillary has one thing to her credit that all Jews must admit-- she said the right buzz words about freeing Jonathan Pollard when she debated that guy who (later, physically) fell flat on his face!

That she kissed SuHa Arafat simply makes her two-faced. So what else is new in politics?

The real matter is this: would you have wanted Al Gore to be President on Sept. 12th? Hillary?

because thats par for the course in politics? she will more than likely have an excelent domestic program, which is good because of the mess that bush got us in.

read the comment in perkei avos on politics. it says something like don't seek friendship with the ruling party because they are only you're friends while it's convinient but wont stand by you in your hour of need.

all politicians are like that unfortunately. hillery right now, is exactly what the country needs to fix the terrible problems we're having. to not vote for her for one small issue at the cost of the domestic issues of the country we are in is not very bright and will ruin this country much as bush is busy trying to do.

'would you have wanted Al Gore to be President on Sept. 12th? '

Yes.

Bush has been the worse President in my lifetime (and I turned 48 yesterday).

Three weeks to the day after 9/11, Bush endorsed a Palestinian state, thus proving that terrorism works. Then, in April 2003, he released his "road map" that does not call for "Land for Peace" but instead insists upon "Land for Promises". Bush's actions made the Gaza disengagement inevitable -- and not the last such giveaway.

In addition, there is no end in sight to the disasterous adventure in Iraq, the budget deficit is the largest it has ever been, cronyism is valued over competance and ideology is trumping science all over the government (see the Katrina screwups and the stem cell research funding ban), and the only answer they have is more tax cuts for those who least need them.

Yes, I would have preferred Gore. So did a half million plurality in the 2000 election. And I still think I am right.

Finally. Thank you, charliehall. Is everyone else missing the fact that Bush is a moron?

Several years ago, a skit on Saturday Night Live showed Rove and Cheney standing in the Oval Office making policy decisions while Bush was lying on a couch, batting a ball of yarn in the air.

The nation's real problem is that in the ensuing years, we've learned that the image is absolutely accurate, except for the fact that kittens are cute.

The real "deciders" have managed to squander any goodwill we still possessed in the world, increase the budget deficit, and send valiant young men and women to die needlessly in the Middle East.

Yesterday was the third anniversary of "Mission Accomplished." Some accomplishments.

Janine Pirro's lack of Prosecution In Harrison, N.Y. at another typically drunken house party when a fight broke out. One guy punched another guy, who fell backwards onto the concrete patio and hit his head hard. Rather than calling for an ambulance, the kids at the party rushed around throwing away all the alcohol and cups, destroying the evidence that they had been drinking, then concocted a story about how he had somehow hit his head in a nearby park. They finally did take the kid to the hospital, but it was too late, and he died from the head trauma. It was acknowledged that he might have survived had they called an ambulance straight away and had not tried to orchestrate a cover-up. None of them went to jail because Janine Pirro orchestrated a cover-up.
